ROUGH-FIT BODY MAP |
|
The Body Map can be done before starting any of our programs, or in conjunction
with one of our programs. When most people start a gym routine, they skip initial
phases of training and conditioning specific muscles to perform specific exercises.
When your body hasn't learned the correct sequence in which to engage the right
muscles for a specific movement, this can create muscle imbalances. As your body
starts to compensate with the wrong muscles, your risk of injury increases. Over
time you may even develop pain in areas that may seem unrelated to your exercises
- all because of the way your muscles compensate. You eventually fall into a cycle
of injury and subsequently avoid exercise.
Anyone who has been injured in the past or who hasn't exercised in a while can benefit
from the Body Map program.
The Rough-Fit Body Map is a 45 minute evaluation based on the NASM's (National Academy
of Sports Medicine) Optimum Performance Training model. By using a kinetic chain
assessment it is possible to see whether your muscles work in the right sequence
when doing certain exercises. This
provides a definitive plan based on your body's movement patterns and you're able to resume exercise without injury. Your Rough-Fit
trainer has been taught how to identify muscle imbalances, and will provide you
with a workout schedule that enhances muscle group engagement. This is an excellent
way to baseline your fitness level before starting any of our other programs.
After you receive your workout schedule, this does not include any further personal
or group training - you must register for one of these Rough-Fit programs. |
