What is Rough-Fit?

Rough-Fit is a comprehensive health and fitness resource for anyone looking to jump-start or enhance his or her overall health. We provide everything from outdoor group training and specialized online tools to individual and remote training programs. Our main goal at Rough-Fit is to inspire people to make lifestyle changes that improve overall health, strength and fitness - long term. We are NOT a quick fix for weight loss but will help you with a real life long-term solution to losing weight and maintaining your goals.

Who is Rough-Fit for?

You, your neighbor, your best friend, anyone! Rough-Fit is for anyone with a sense of adventure and a commitment to improving their overall health, strength and fitness. We offer an ever-changing variety of workouts that are designed to inspire and challenge people at any fitness level. Whether you are just beginning a fitness program or are a seasoned athlete, we will provide the motivation to push you a bit further.

How will my success be measured?

As a new member of Rough-Fit, you will be asked to submit a personal profile. Our trainers help evaluate your needs as an individual and determine the safest and smartest path towards reaching your goals. At the end of each month, we conduct an evaluation session to track your individual progress. All statistics are tracked online so that continuous progress can be logged and updated. Our trainers also provide personal contact and support on a regular basis to ensure you are on track with your goals throughout the month.

What is a Body Map?

Rough-Fit also offers a Body map option, which is an in-depth, private assessment of your strengths, weaknesses and muscle imbalances. Based on the NASM's (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Optimum Performance Training model, it uses a kinetic chain assessment to see whether you have any musculoskeletal impairments or imbalances, and is especially recommended for people with post rehab concerns. Your Rough-Fit trainer will identify muscle imbalances, and will provide you with a workout schedule that enhances muscle group engagement. This is an excellent way to baseline your fitness level before starting any of our other programs.

How soon will I see results?

That depends on what your initial goal is. Rough-Fit is not meant to be a quick-fix weight-loss solution. The rate of improvement is dependent on a variety of factors, including your commitment to making it work. Rough-Fit provides all of the resources necessary to help you to succeed. How soon you get there is entirely up to you!

What is the typical workout like?

Every day will bring something new at Rough-Fit. Workouts will span across interval training, circuit training, cardiovascular endurance and strengthening. Exercises can include sprinting, jumping jacks, jump rope, jogging/speed-walking, sports related games, hiking, weight and resistance training and anything else you may think of. However, don't be overly concerned if there is something you feel you can't do yet. Workouts are geared towards personal progression. We are there to provide you with a safe, fun, challenging and effective workout that will build you up - not tear you down! The workouts are structured to be fun and the intensity level will change as your strength increases. We begin promptly at the posted start time with a progressive warm-up and stretching, so don't be late!

What if I haven't worked out in a while or have limitations to strenuous exercise?

Rough-Fit provides certified professional trainers with an inherent awareness of safety in mind. Our trainers keep a close eye on the correct posture and implementation of each movement. Also, our trainers know when to recommend alternate forms of exercise as necessary. However please make sure to discuss any concerns with your trainer and that you have an approval from your physician before starting any exercise program.

What about the weather?

Rough-Fit meets rain or shine. Hope for rain, that's when the fun starts!

Where do you have classes?

Our company is based in Orange County California. Our main group classes and private training takes place at various Orange County locations, but we also offer programs for people who don't live in this area so please contact us for more information on trainers and programs available in your area.

How does group training help me meet my individual goals?

As a Rough-Fit team member, you can benefit from team dynamics not offered through traditional training programs or routines. Ask any member and they will tell you that one thing that keeps them coming back is the camaraderie. In addition, the friendly competition among team members challenges each person to push himself/herself further each day. As everyone on our team improves, you become more inspired to reach your goals and test your limits. Plus, the variety of workouts and change of scenery make each session something to look forward to.

How many people are in a group class?

Classes range from 10-30 people depending on the location and number of instructors. In order to keep Rough-Fit programs running smoothly, we provide at least one certified instructor for every 20 participants.
